The only person crying out for change is a baby with a wet nappy.
Change is unsettling; it rattles your cage and upsets your well ordered routine. But if you don't embrace change you don't stand still; you go backwards. Some businesses hide beneath the comfort blanket of a good product and assume it will sell forever and their world famous brand will always be in demand (Woolworths? Rover? House of Fraser?).
As soon as you are happy with a product it is time to change it and move on again. If you don't embrace change someone will overtake you. That is why the companies featured on BDEC need to maintain their visibility. A magnificent cavalry charge wins no battles now.
But my favourite comment on change is the response by a child when asked "What should be changed in the world". She replied - "I don't know, I'm only five years old". Wise girl.
